Life is moving at a break-neck speed and I'm grabbing ahold of the reigns and wrangling the ride.
Big news!
1. My first EP "Do Be Do" comes out in 1 month! The iTunes pre-sale starts April 4th and I'll post the link. I'm also preparing to launch a new pro website (though I will keep this blog at www.daisyoconnor.com). Whew!
2. I'm playing my debut solo show at The Cactus Cafe- a legendary listening room in Austin, TX- on Saturday April 5th. I have the whole night to myself, and I'm sharing the stage with some of my favorite musicians. Rumor has it Dawn and Hawkes from the current season of The Voice will be making a special appearance. Stay tuned for more details, and get your tickets HERE before the show sells out!
3. I'm still super inspired from my SXSW experience. I played great shows and met tons of new people and sold CDs and got to hang out with some of my favorite rock stars. All week I've been writing lots and happily working away in Studio Do Be Do. If I could whistle I'd be whistling while I work. It's that good. Here's a picture of me and my dear friend and co-writing partner Steve Poltz. We're clearly from the same alien clan - he's basically an older and debatably wiser male version of myself- and our friendship has totally changed my life. Everywhere he goes he spreads inspiration, love, and laughter. We got to hang during SXSW and I'm writing a crazy song in honor of him and our folk friends. I'll play it at the Cactus Cafe. Come be the first to hear it.
